Pictures from my Langtang Trek in April 2013. It was planned as a Langtang-Helambu trek, i.e. first we went up the Langtang valley until the last village Kyanjin Gompa where I stayed two nights and went further into the valley on a day trip and took another trip up the Kyanjin Ri (4620 m.). Then we went back the Langtang valley until Thulo Syabru where we turned off towards Gosainkund. The plan was after Gosainkund to cross the Laurebina pass and heading for the Helambu area and that way back to Kathmandu. But when we came to Gosainkund it had been snowing tor 2 days and was still snowing when we had to cross the pass, where the snow already lay thigh deep. We might have been able to cross but my guide book and my guide told me that especially the descent could be very treacherous in those conditions. So we back tracked the same way we had come up and headed for Syabrubensi, where we started the trek.
